Service Technician Vacancy
Workshop Manager/Team Leader/Service Adviser
Main Purpose of Job
To carry out service and repair work efficiently and competently to completerepair orders to BMW standards.
i. To carry out work provided competently and within the times laid down by the Flat Rate
Manual,or to time acceptable by Service Manager if hourly work, or factory times not available.
ii. To ensure that times are recorded as requested by management.
iii.To attend internal and external training courses, as directed by the management.
iv. To keep their place of work in a tidy and clean condition.
v. To advise the Team Leader or Service Adviser of any additional work necessary on a car during service.
vi. To ensure parts of Warranty Claims or return items are retained and are cleaned and drained of oil, where necessary. To ensure exchange parts are returned to Parts Department when required.
vii.To be prepared to work overtime, with reasonable notice, if requested by the management.
viii.To ensure that the vehicles worked on are carefully handled and that all reasonable care is taken of that vehicle on the premises for repair or service.
ix. To maintain and develop skill levels in all aspects of repair, service and maintenance of BMW vehicles.
x. To make full use of BMW Special Tools, Service Test, Service Equipment and training as provided to improve customer service levels and workshop efficiency.
xi. To maintain thorough and current Product Knowledge and read all Service Information and Service News bulletins as supplied by Service Management.
xii.To maintain good working relationships with colleagues in other departments.
xiii. To ensure correct mileages and a full bodywork inspection are recorded accurately on all repair orders.
